NCvB Statistics

Reports of occupational health practitioners are registered in the National Registry of Occupational Diseases. Occupational physicians and occupational health services are obliged to report cases of occupational diseases by the Dutch Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Information retrieved from this registry is useful for the insight in prevention and spreading, and development of occupational diseases. It is also used as a tool to detect particular cases.

In addition to this National Registry of Occupational Diseases, different surveillance schemes are set up to catch the underregistration of occupational health practitioners.
